After a few previous, we can finally give you a detailed look at the complete Vans “Colored by Crayola” Crayola Footwear Collection, which is part of their Fall 2010 offering. The uppers of Vans classics, including the Era, Sk8 Hi, Authentic and Slip-On, have gotten the Crayola treatment. Look out for a release soon.
As part of their collaboration with DC Comics, colette has invited Italian footwear maker Superga to produce comic heroe themed sneakers. The sneakers come in the iconic colors of each respective superheroe with further branding all-over the sneaker. Included in the drop are Superman sneakers, Batman sneakers and Green Lantern sneakers. They are now available here.
eS worked with Diplo and Mad Decent on two collaborative sneakers for the Fall 2010 season. The Taido receives a gradient upper and laces with red, yellow and green eyelets and an embossed MAD DECENT across the heels. Diplo also get’s his own signature Erving in black and lime with a Dinosaur logo hit on the heel and all-over the lining. Now available.
PUMA works up this new interesting silhouette for Summer 2010, designed by its Creative Director and renowned fashion designer Hussein Chalayan. The sneakers carry a signature PUMA feel, although the midsoles are reflective of a New Balance type of style. Either way, they are limited to 10 pairs, exclusively available through colette.

Complementing their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection, German brand Wemoto has released for the first time their “Rap Idols” on t-shirts, after previously having featured them on skateboard decks and graphic prints. The t-shirts feature Method Man, Biggie and Snoop Dogg and are now available at premium retailers in Europe, including Caliroots and colette.
By now a fashion brand getting together with a water brand is not entirely new anymore. We have seen Evian work with many designers over the years. Now Italian brand San Pellegrino is also getting into the game and presents a collaboration with Italian fashion house Missoni. The lables feature the Missoni branding and the bottle also comes in a special sleeve, designed by the brand.
Medicom continues to work with Disney and Japanese brand Roen on special edition version of the iconic Mickey Mouse character. Soon the Mummy, Pirate, Guitar, Two Gun and Crown versions of Mickey Mouse will be released. Look out for these from June 24th.

Here’s another batch of Star Wars meets menswear painting (following John Woo’s work). Illustrator and animator Greg Peltz created three “fun and rather dapper portraits” of Chewbacca, C-3PO, and Boba Fett, each of whom are updated in Victorian-style garb. From Peltz’s blog:You know what’s interesting about these paintings? That since Star Wars took place “A Long Time Ago”, much longer ago than our Earth and etcetera, in painting these characters in Victorian-Era garb, they’ve actually been modernized. Is this the opposite of turning a brand new computer into a steampunker?

Opening on Friday June 4th, Mishka presents a series of work from Los Angeles based Coop at their Brooklyn based 350 Broadway gallery. This will mark the first time since 2001 that Coop will be showing any work in New York. The show is a collection of work inspired by Coop’s recent collaboration with Nag Nag Nag on his Boryoku Genjin figure. Much of the preliminary work and concepts such as original sketches and header card will be included in the show as well as a very special custom figure by the creator of Nag Nag Nag.The Coop art show will run from Friday June 4th to July 16th at Mishka’s flagship Brooklyn store. A limited edition t-shirt and signed print will be available for sale at 350 Broadway.
